Patient Experience Coordinator- Full Time

Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator for a Full Time position.

Shift: 8:30 AM EST- 5:00 PM EST

Position Goal: The Patient Experience Coordinator is responsible for interacting with patients and visitors in an effort to ensure service excellence. This person is responsible for coordinating the implementation, analysis, and reporting of targeted patient experience improvement initiatives within the hospital.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assesses Press Ganey patient satisfaction results and comments, at least monthly, and works with hospital and department leaders to enact changes to improve patient engagement.
• Monitors Birdeye system, daily, to ensure follow up on patient complaints and grievances.
• Enters complaints and grievances into Occurrence Portal and addresses them as indicated.
• Collaborates with leadership to identify and mitigate barriers as identified through patient complaints.
• Participates in the development of programs and services that address specific aspects of the patient experience.
• Supports organizational steering committees to drive patient experience initiatives and ensure organizational alignment.
• Visits patients and family members, periodically, to assess perceptions of their experience during hospitalization.
• Represents JHMH in community programs as required. United Way, Relay for Left, etc.
• Develops strong community relationships and promotes the services of JHMH, accordingly.

Experience: Minimum of one year of administrative and customer service experience required. Knowledge of hospital systems preferred.

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent required. Degree in related field (customer service or hospitality) preferred.

Special Qualifications: Excellent customer service and communication skills required (oral and written). Must have the ability to work well with others. High integrity, adaptability and character. Shows enthusiasm and a willingness to learn in an ever-changing dynamic fast-paced healthcare environment. Demonstrates good judgment in performance of daily duties. Must exhibit organizational ability and ability to prioritize to ensure timeliness of completed assignments. Must be proficient in use of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
