What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field/Office Survey & Engineer Assistant position at Jackson Surveying, Inc.?
Position is to assist in all areas of a Land Surveying and Civil Engineering Office. Firm is looking to employ an individual to provide support to the field crew in areas of surveying. Tasks include operating surveying equipment, operating small brush clearing tools, setting monumentation and survey control, overseeing inspections on job sites, data entry for field operations and other tasks shared in the office. Person to be responsible for maintenance of field equipment, vehicles, and general office maintenance. CAD drafting experience preferred to assist in entering field data, drafting preliminary plans and worksheets, and drafting plans from design worksheets to finished product. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required. Drivers License required with clean driving record. Opportunity to assist in the office operations will be available as needed. Applicant should be mechanically inclined, well organized, self-motivated, have computer skills and knowledge, and willing to adapt to multiple duties.
