General Summary of Job Duties

This position uses a high level of kitchen proficiency to prepare menu items for the White Buffalo restaurant guest.  The ideal candidate is professional, knowledgeable and detail oriented.  They will embrace teamwork and a positive work approach.  Tasks will be completed quickly and accurately.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

• Acts according to Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. Mission Statement and F.A.S.T. Track Values Statement.
• Practices proper food safety, food handling, food storage and sanitation procedures.
• Prepares and produces various menu items using various cooking techniques (sauté, roast, steam, broil, braise, etc.). 
• Follows recipes exactly to ensure a consistent product for the guest.  Accepts direction and performance feedback.
• Completes work demand in a timely and efficient manner.  Takes the initiative to help others when time allows.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of assigned station. 
• Displays a calm, positive and professional demeanor in all interactions with others.
• Reports to work on time, as scheduled.
• Assists with kitchen cleaning and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cooking experience in a high-volume food establishment.  Previous steakhouse line cook and/or fine dining experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
