Your Impact:
The Rapid Solutions Innovative Aerospace Division (IAD) has won several national level programs to build multi-function RF ISR systems for air and space application utilizing our legacy surface-mount technology (SMT). The supply chain function supports this expanding production and is growing significantly requiring the procurement of CLASS B and C components from many suppliers. This position is for an experienced supply chain professional to execute the planning, sourcing, procurement and receipt of commercial components to support producing multi-function radio frequency systems. The selected individual will act as the Supply Chain Manager, helping to execute all aspects of the supply chain function of this $100M business.
Responsibilities:
Perform program contract-to-material requirements flow-down, ensuring engineering requirements are met by Suppliers, sourcing these requirements, maintaining communications and relations with critical Suppliers, evaluation of vendor proposals and working with mission assurance to assure the parts meet the required specifications. Additionally, you will support proposals and be an integral contributor for assisting the program with make-buy decisions in support of future work. This leadership position offers the opportunity to help shape the growing portfolio of space programs. - Leverage an understanding of the Global Supply Chain, contracts, purchasing, manufacturing, and mission assurance areas and how they impact the delivery of materials.
- Familiarity with prime Contract DFAR requirements and ensuring proper flow down to Suppliers (includes Material and Service providers).
- Lead negotiations with key Suppliers on pricing and terms and conditions.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure that commitments are met and to establish a successful supply chain.
- Develop and implement improvements to address any programmatic risks related to the supply chain.
- Communicate material metrics, cost and schedule impacts to the Program Management Office (PMO).
- Cost Account Management (CAM experience) and Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.
- Lead supply chain program execution to ensure timely and organized material and production flow.
- Demonstrate end-to-end supply chain competency in production planning, sourcing, purchasing, supplier relationship management, logistics, inventory, operations, analytics and collaborate with mission/quality assurance, engineering, and the program management office.
- Develop and lead continuous improvement strategies.
- Establish performance metrics to measure and evaluate factors affecting the supply chain.
This is what you'll need to have:
- Academically credentialed with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Subcontract Management, Contracts or related field.
- 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
- Past or Active Clearance with DoD or the IC.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining an AS9100D or ISO 9001 environment.
- Experience with Material Requirements and Planning (MRP) tools (i.e. SAP, PeopleSoft, etc).
- Experience managing DoD FAR Clauses and Compliance.
- A passion for National Security.
- Ability to think critically and ask the right questions.
- Multi-tasking, attention to detail, critical decision making.
- Understand IPC requirements.
- The ability to work in an agile environment that allows for rapid prototyping and the ability to meet aggressive timelines.
