Description
We are currently seeking a CAD Designer with experience in developing technical drawings and documents for our Spent Fuel Handling Project near Idaho Falls, ID.
Qualifications
Physical Requirements: Work will vary from sedentary office tasks to in-field site work. May transport light items, such as reports, data products, notebooks and laptops.
Work Environment
Office environment within Facility construction trailers.
May be in a restricted work area.
Criticality Of Attendance
Must be able to work within the normal daytime shift in the office on-site. Except for Short Term Disability/Long Term Disability/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential.
Equipment And Machines
Standard office equipment and machines: personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies. Personal computer and required CAD software.
Other Essential Functions
Must be able to secure and maintain a security clearance
Must take and pass a pre-employment drug and background check.
Must be able to read and write effectively in English.
Must embrace Beyond Zero/Safety ethics to include adhering to safe work practices and standards while performing daily tasks, taking responsibility for own and coworkers’ safekeeping and encouraging others to work safely.
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and organization.
Must perform work activities requiring interaction, negotiating, instructing, persuading or speaking with others.
Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.

We are currently seeking a CAD Designer with experience in developing technical drawings and documents for our Spent Fuel Handling Project near Idaho Falls, ID.
Qualifications
- Proficiency using AutoCAD design software.
- Ability to revise or create drawings and/or supporting documents that reflect changes in field conditions.
- Ability to perform field/site visit for data gathering and record drawing preparation.
- Able work with design engineers to develop documentation that may focus on the entire range of facility installed services.
- Sole USA Citizenship is required. No Dual citizens or visas for this role
- 3 or more years of experience
- Experience in architectural, structural, mechanical, process and utilities piping, HVAC, Electrical or plumbing design/drafting for industrial and/or government facilities preferred
- Experience using design software products such as: Microstation, SmartPlant, Navisworks, BIM/3D software, etc.
- The ability to maneuver and manipulate 3D facility models for investigative or informational purposes.
- Experience working with heavy industrial and nuclear projects.
- NQA-1 experience
