At Jacobs, we’re seeking a Commercial Lead who will help lead the commercial function of the Delivery Partner (DP) including the development and implementation of the commercial strategy for the program lifecycle including procurement, commercial and contract management, schedule management, supply chain management, cost verification, assurance, compliance and ultimately commercial close.

The Commercial Lead will be part of the DP Leadership Team and will interface with and support the other key functions, for example, Safety and Environmental, Design and Engineering, Project Controls and Delivery. The role will require establishing excellent working relationships with the Clients commercial, procurement, legal and finance teams as well as other key stakeholders.

Accountabilities/Reporting lines
  • Responsible for the commercial management of the DP Prime Contract and DP Subconsultants.
  • Responsible for the procurement, commercial and contact management of the DP activities including the Main Works Contracts.
  • Reports to the Program Director.
  • Coordinates with the functional leads.
  • Provides commercial interface with the client and other stakeholders.

Role profile/Duties
  • Develop and implement commercial strategy.
  • Develop incentive plans potentially through alliancing and partnering with the supply chain and stakeholders.
  • Procure and implement web-based contract management/administration tools.
  • Provide assurance and compliance of the DP
  • Oversight of the commercial team including but not limited to project administration, schedule, document control, etc.

Typical salary range for this position is $180,000 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Experience of the commercial leadership of large infrastructure programs using reimbursable target cost contracts.
  • Bachelors or Masters in a Business Management related field
  • Experience of contract management tools, reporting and financial systems.
