Your Impact:
When you join our team as a Project Controls Specialist, we’ll look to your expertise to provide timely as well as accurate input of data, thorough and accurate review/analysis of defined cost and schedule elements, while producing timely and accurate documentation.
You’ll support a large portfolio of projects with one client while helping develop, monitor, track, analyze, forecast, and report on project budgets, estimates to complete, commitments, expenditures, project progress and productivity, work plans and schedules, projects cost at completion, WBS cost coding, subcontracts, and change management. As a partner to our Project Managers, you’ll provide monthly/quarterly forecasts on projects.
Utilizing your industry knowledge and foresight, you’ll help in the development of the schedule for mainly engineering activities, but may also need to incorporate other activities associated with procurement, construction, etc.
Your keen review of expenditure details, identifying incorrect charges, and commencement of the charge correction process will ensure our financials are accurate. We’ll also have you review, process, and track sub consultant invoices on various projects
You’ll perform risk analysis on cost and schedule and recommend usage of contingency. Also, you’ll provide support for project pricing. Come help us coordinate activities and services with corporate support groups including human resources, accounting, legal, contracts management, procurement and safety. And you’ll assure change management systems and processes are implemented and followed.
Showcase your business acumen by identifying for us potential project problems early, report issues and problems to operations leadership, and work with project teams to address and implement recovery plans.
To ensure all financials are in order, we’ll have you prepare spreadsheets and a wide variety of routine cost analyses, cash flow, and other cost related evaluations. Also, you will be responsible to set-up, monitor, and report earned value progress measurement systems for projects, including analysis based on input from project leads. We’ll look to you to produce various planning and scheduling reports and analysis.
Your expertise will be spread throughout the organization when you help provide technical and administrative reports, assembly of monthly report packages as well as when you audit and track account receivables

• Substantial professional experience in project controls or related industry expertise
• Previous experience working on buildings and infrastructure type of projects is required
• Proficient computer skills using MS Office tools. Proficient Excel skills are a must.
• Good verbal and written communications skills and a desire to work with details.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• BS or BA in Cost Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, Accounting or Finance
