Our SCADA Control System Programmer opportunity will provide you the chance to work on exciting municipal and industrial projects. Our SCADA services group offers a comprehensive suite of products and services. We are a full-service provider of systems automation services that span the full life cycle of SCADA implementation, from conceptual planning, design, configuration, installation, testing, startup, and post commissioning services. 

Each day you will be an important part of the team as you complete a variety of technical tasks in the design and operation of SCADA systems for water / wastewater treatment facilities. You should be able to think on your feet, work well independently and in a team environment, and multi-task effectively. Our work frequently requires strong technical skills as well as excellent communication skills. You should be a self-motivated professional with HMI programming experience and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each new SCADA project.

We’ll ask you to:
•    Provide HMI programming and testing for water and wastewater clients, initially primarily supporting a large project in Fairfax County, Virginia.  Additional work will include assignments serving clients in the VA/MD/DC area.  Work will be conducted in Jacobs’ offices and at client sites.
•    Develop HMI databases, HMI graphics, and HMI configurations.
•    Work as part of a team to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
•    Conduct site testing to prove PLC and HMI Software functionality and reliability.
•    Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
•    Travel as needed to support projects in DC/MD/VA area.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or a specialized degree that focuses on facility automation is required
•    Previous experience programming with a major brand HMI such as WinCC, Wonderware, FactoryTalk
•    SCADA software testing and troubleshooting experience
•    Ethernet networking experience
•    Exposure to programming a major brand of PLC is a plus such as Allen Bradley
•    Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel

Ideally, you'll also have:
•    Experience in Water or Wastewater process automation 
•    I&C or Electrical design experience  
•    Field experience with inspection and troubleshooting of SCADA system hardware
