Test Architect

Your Impact:

Jacobs is looking for a Test Architect to join our team in Alexandria. VA. This position is hybrid, 3 days on site/2 days remote. 

The Test Architect must be self-driven, work independently, and able to work with Testers, Developers, and Architects to provide technical leadership and strategic guidance for enhancing existing test automation frameworks and capabilities. The position requires an ability to review current testing processes/toolsets, and drive consensus across the enterprise around target state toolsets and potential execution strategies based on industry best practices.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

-11 years of relevant experience and a bachelors degree required. Commensurate experience for education.
-Hands-on experience as a web application automated tester, actively involved in designing and implementing testing strategies.
-Experience in a leadership role guiding teams and providing technical leadership in the testing domain.
-Skilled in establishing standards and frameworks for efficient and effective testing processes (e.g. data-driven testing or test-driven development).
-Strong expertise in Selenium, as well as familiarity with modern frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress.
-In-depth knowledge around DevOps, Continuous Testing, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery ensuring seamless integration of testing into the development lifecycle.
-Proven experience in structuring large test suites and optimizing test execution time.
-Proficiency in utilizing API testing tools to validate and verify the functionality of APIs.
-Strong understanding of Jenkins and its configuration for executing test automation scripts including experience in monitoring and troubleshooting builds and test executions.

Clearance Requirement: ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required

Preferred: 
-Knowledge of the use and implementation of multiple open source/commercial tools for unit, API, Web/JavaScript test automation 
-Experience with testing tools/frameworks/libraries such as Selenium, jUnit, Test Complete, ReadyAPI, Cucumber, Zephyr, Postman, and REST Assured
-Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr to develop/execute functional and regression test scripts
-Experience performing Section 508 testing including JAWS, SortSite, and Dragon
