Your Impact:
This position will focus on regional and statewide water resources planning and management with a strong emphasis on watershed resilience planning, water resources systems, climate and hydrology, and coastal resilience. Project work could include technical evaluations in support of climate risk assessments, resilience plans, reservoir system operations, regional water supply reliability, system dynamics model development and application, coastal and estuarine hydrodynamics and water quality, water supply planning, facility planning, watershed protection, surface water and groundwater hydrology, and drainage/flood control. Ideal candidates would have an understanding of water resources, climate change and resiliency, and coastal processes. Must have previous numerical modeling experience related to water resources systems. Must have the ability to work with clients and client service managers to help procure and deliver projects. Must have the ability to attend meetings at Jacobs and client offices.
Here’s What You’ll Need:• B.S. degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering with 5-10 years previous experience.
• M.S. degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering is preferred.
• E.I.T. with the intention of obtaining California PE in future.
• Knowledge of mathematical optimization, linear programming, hydraulic, and/or hydrodynamic models.
• Computer modeling, programming (examples include VBA, Python, and/or R), Microsoft Office software (e.g. Excel), and GIS experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of California hydrology and water resources is preferred.
• Position requires excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis, and technical problem solving, strong organizational skills, multitasking ability and excellent computer skills.

The base salary range for this position is $89,100 to $139,150. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
