We are looking for a driven and curious client-focused junior water / wastewater treatment design engineer in Reno, to support our regional team.
As a key member of our Reno team, you’ll have the chance to perform a variety of municipal drinking water and wastewater treatment and potable reuse engineering work in the initial planning and design phase of projects. Working with other members of our team, you'll work on projects evaluating and selecting the best treatment approach to solve a client’s challenges and planning and designing treatment systems and plant improvements. As part of our team, you will also have the opportunity to work with treatment processes that may include coagulation, rapid mix, flocculation, sedimentation, secondary biological treatment, granular media filtration, biological filtration, membrane filtration, disinfection (ozone, UV, free chlorine, chloramine), post-filter adsorption, and other treatment processes.

Here’s What You’ll Need:- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering
- Up to 2 years engineering experience in any of the following: water quality, site layout, stormwater, permitting, land development, conveyance, grading and drainage design.
Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:
- Master's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering
- Demonstrated skills in performing environmental field data collection tasks, including groundwater, stormwater, and landfill gas monitoring, as well as related maintenance and analysis of data collected.
- Basic understanding of common environmental and/or operating permits applicable to solid waste facilities, including solid waste handling permits, stormwater permits, wastewater permits, and air quality permits.
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification or ability to get within a year
