Job Summary:
As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and supporting the technological systems that JMI uses to maintain its computer and software networks. The work schedule is Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.
What you’ll do:
- Manage multiple systems, networks, applications, and telecommunications.
- Perform tasks related to programming, analysis, networking, data processing, and administration.
- Install and update system software.
- Keep track of confidential data and communications utilized on the JMI network.
- Diagnose, identify, and resolve operational or technical problems within a hardware device, software or equipment.
- Research and recommend technology.
- Provide employees with technical support and troubleshoot computer issues.
- Take after-hour calls as assigned.
- Ability to prioritize the information systems.
- Implement security measures and monitor corporate compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or more than 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, Development, Design and Database software.
- Clear written and verbal communications.
- Ability to organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner.
- Good time management skills.
- Able to maintain confidential information.
- Able to respond to, interact and collaborate with customers, vendors/suppliers and employees.
- Attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy.
- Self-starter, with ability to work independently, as a team member and under general supervision.
