Position Title: Landscape Design and Installation Manager
Position Summary:
The Landscape Design and Installation Manager is responsible for effectively managing a variety of landscape enhancement projects. The position is fast paced, offers a wide variety of activity and requires a high level of attention to detail. Landscape Design and Installation Managers generally work with the operations teams to assist with designing, quoting and then executing approved jobs. Landscape Design and Enhancement Managers will lead teams that generate a minimum of $1-2M annually in enhancement revenue and are responsible for training and developing enhancement teams and ensuring a safe work environment. In some offices, Irrigation Management will also fall under the responsibility of the Landscape Design and Installation Manager which includes scheduling, time review and monitoring revenue. This position reports to the Branch Manager.
Principal Responsibilities of the Landscape Design and Installation Manager:
- Train employees in proper horticultural & construction practices.
- Responsible for material procurement, following procurement processes and utilization of operating systems
- See that completed jobs reflect original design and client s expectations.
- Communicate effectively with clients after the job is completed to ensure their expectations are met.
- Inform supervisors of problems and changes concerning their properties in a proactive, timely manner via phone, office meetings, site visits, weekly reports, etc.
- See that client/supervisor s requests are responded to in a timely manner.
- Evaluate the performance of crew leaders and crew members regularly, foster and develop continuing skills and knowledge and recommend for advancement.
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained and operated in a safe manner.
- Work with Client Managers and Operations Managers to identify enhancement opportunities and establish long range plans for sites.
- Work with Business Development and Client Management team on front-end sales process to maximize enhancement/irrigation pipeline.
- Develop and maintain schedules for Enhancement/Irrigation crews on all jobs, coordinate manpower, equipment and materials in advance.
- Monitor total hours worked by crew and services performed to ensure quality and profitability for each job completed.
- Manage the scheduling of work, applying costs and time for team to allow for revenue forecasting and tracking.
- Monitor job cost reports regularly and report back to crew to increase productivity and job efficiency.
- Provide long and short-term planning for maximum efficiency and goal forecasting.
- Creating simple designs/sketches and estimating cost, plant list etc.
Education & Experience Qualifications for Landscape Design and Installation Manager:
- High School degree required. Associates or Bachelor s Degree desirable.
- 2-4 years of experience as a supervisor/manager with proven ability to train, nurture and develop employees and determine leadership skills in others. General knowledge of irrigation systems & turf management programs.
- Must have landscape design experience and capabilities with the ability to sell landscape enhancements and deal directly with customers.
- Must maintain applicable licenses and certifications ????

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to schedule multiple projects, prioritize work and perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability and responsibility for all activities of self and team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of leadership, team members and clients both verbally and written. Strong presentation capabilities.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and trust when dealing with difficult, sensitive and confidential issues.
- Strong working knowledge of computers with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience with Aspire a plus.
- Valid driver s license with a reasonably clean record.
Compensation: $50K-65K
