The Production Manager is responsible for collaborating across functional teams and will prioritize team workload, while driving continuous improvement. This position will supervise the production staff, while providing leadership and coaching, to ensure established targets are met. 

Responsibilities:

Supervise production staff, monitor performance and coach to ensure goals are being met.

Responsible for coordinating all production and quality control activities including producing, filling and packaging paints and resins. 

Establish and communicate performance standards and objectives; conduct performance appraisals.

Schedule resources to meet workloads and re-direct as necessary.

Ensure that employees are performing their functions safely and productively. 

Drive changes for improvement of all production processes.

Maintain physical condition of areas of responsibility.

Train on all production processes, 5s, and Lean initiatives. 

Control inventory levels of raw materials and supplies through cycle counting and conduct root cause analysis of any variances.

Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.  Stay current with all training requirements.

Ensure maintenance of equipment condition logs, safety inspection reports, and all other required regulatory reporting/tracking.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Experience and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business Management or similar. Masters, MBA preferred. 

Minimum 5 years of experience managing in a production environment. 

Experience working with automated filling and packaging lines.

Lean/ 5s understanding

Ability to troubleshoot processes and equipment

Effective communicator and ability to lead people and processes.

Demonstrate knowledge of inventory management and workload control.

Demonstrate knowledge of Hazardous Materials, OSHA and EPA Regulations.

Demonstrate knowledge of computer software applications to include spreadsheets and word processing.
