SOCIAL CONTENT COORDINATOR/VIDEO EDITOR

At Jamestown Distributors, we love boats, woodworking, and creating. Our focus is on inspiring boaters, makers, and craftspeople to create, maintain and repair projects. We support and guide customers with our Total Support Team, our How-To videos, a strong social media presence, and website tutorials.  

We are focused on building our TotalBoat brand of adhesives and finishes and have a strong and loyal following of customers.  Jamestown Distributors has provided quality woodworking and boat building supplies since 1977 and the TotalBoat brand was built by JD with that mission in mind: trust, quality and affordability for the professional or DIY boater, maker and do-er. We are a family-run company in Bristol, Rhode Island. We take pride in offering customers a better experience with a small, strong team of individuals.

This is a full time unique hybrid role to serve both our social media platform and assist in video editing and content creation for the social media team. 

Responsibilities: 

Take and edit videos and photos for how-tos, product launches and social media campaigns.

Update + manage + organize our Image and Video Library on Google Drive. 

Post videos to Instagram/YouTube. Create versions of each video to be able to post on social channels

Engage with our YouTube and Instagram community & reply to YouTube comments while staying true to our brand identity

Watch YouTube videos related to the content we create (& content our audience interacts with) & engage in the comments section + participate in the digital community surrounding our brand

Stay up-to-date with the latest social media + cultural trends, memes, client-related news, timely news stories, etc

Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads to our social media channels.

Participate in the ideation, strategy & creation of content with maximum viral potential

Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our clients, competitors, and/or industry-related interests

Explore new ways to engage with our audience on YouTube & identify new community-oriented content strategies to reach and engage relevant target audiences

Experience:
