SOCIAL MEDIA/TOTAL BOAT TECH COORDINATOR

We support and guide customers with our Total Support Team, our How-To videos, a strong social media presence, and website tutorials.
We are focused on building our TotalBoat brand of adhesives and finishes and have a strong and loyal following of customers. Jamestown Distributors has provided quality woodworking and boat building supplies since 1977 and the TotalBoat brand was built by JD with that mission in mind: trust, quality and affordability for the professional or DIY boater, maker and do-er. We are a family-run company in Bristol, Rhode Island. We take pride in offering customers a better experience with a small, strong team of individuals.
This is a unique hybrid role to serve both our social media platform and assist in video editing and content creation for the social media team.
Responsibilities:
Social Media Coordinator
Establish and develop relationships with potential new customers, maintain and expand relationships with existing customers
Convert new customers to TotalBoat product ambassadors
Maintain relationship with ambassadors and ensure that adequate content is being supplied via social media channels
Develop a strong understanding of customers' needs and the solutions Jamestown Distributors offers
Dedicatedly problem solve and provide timely follow up with customers
Represent Jamestown Distributors and or TotalBoat in the community, attending boat shows and various public events
Assist to develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy utilizing social media platforms such as Instagram, FaceBook, YouTube, etc.
Work alongside our ambassadors for videos, photos and other marketing tools to promote the TotalBoat brand
Total Boat Tech Coordinator
Provide customer service and sales for Jamestown Distributors through consumer and commercial accounts in a personable manner, with consistent follow up and feedback for all accounts daily.
Respond to customer inquiries via inbound phone, fax, and email support.
Assure customer satisfaction in all requests, including order status, product specifications and availability, payment terms, sales programs, JD policies, etc.
Process customer orders in a timely and accurate manner, verifying and communicating customer information, order and shipping details, and recommending additional items needed for customer’s projects including TotalBoat sales offers.
Contribute to the efficiency of the sales department and Jamestown Distributors by performing other related duties as assigned.
Report any irregularities or potential problems to the Total Support Team Manager.
Manage customer service systems daily to ensure that orders are being expedited.
Special duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Social Media Management, or similar field required.
2-3 experience working with social media platforms, digital marketing preferred.
Candidate must have extensive knowledge of, and proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Power Point, and social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Positive “Can Do” attitude and willingness to continuously learn and be challenged.
Good organization and time management skills.
