Overview

Provides marketing support for the team's effort by facilitating the tracking, organization, and execution of regional and national marketing initiatives. Supports administration of the team's budget including working with Accounts Payable on vendor payments, ongoing expense tracking, and creating forward-looking budgets. Handles marketing event calendars and marketing materials for live, virtual, and hybrid events like marketing booths and promotional materials.

Responsibilities

•Assists with details of virtual, in-house, and off-site marketing events. Handles continuing legal education materials and paperwork, tracks conference and events material, maintains an inventory of supplies, and coordinates shipments. -20%

•Tracks practice development budget and processes expenses. -20%

•Assists with the management of key marketing documentation such as work orders, bio affidavits, and release forms; partners with the Legal Department to store electronically. -20%

•Updates Panelists' biographies using backend website tools; handles details with the Marketing and Communications team for marketing collateral and reprints. -15%

•Coordinates the details of marketing email campaign mailing lists to maximize open and click-through rates while minimizing opt-outs. Conducts list cleanup for bounce-backs to keep databases as up-to-date as possible and maintains client mailing lists in databases for email marketing purposes. -15%

•Handles scheduling, develops agendas, conducts research, and prepares marketing reports for internal Practice Development meetings with colleagues and panelists. Handles details of the Practice Development calendar marketing activities such as networking programs and events. -10%

Qualifications

Education (experience can be substituted for education)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related discipline - Preferred 

 

Experience (education can be substituted for experience)

  • 1-3 years of comparable work experience in marketing, practice/development, and administrative support. -Required
  • 1-3 years of legal experience and client service experience. - Plus
  • 1-3 years for internal candidates, proven ability as an Administrative Assistant, Client Services, Virtual ADR Moderator, or similar position. - Required

Skills

  • Solid understanding of the legal industry including court processes and legal terminology. - Plus
  • Computer literate and proficient in all software programs required for the position such as Excel, PowerPoint, client relationship management (CRM) systems, online project management tools (Basecamp), MailChimp, Crowne Peak (or similar backend website management tool), Zoom/Microsoft Teams, and select digital marketing tools; some understanding of digital marketing analytics. -Preferred
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities and tasks in a quick-paced environment. -Required
  • Verbal & business writing communication skills. -Required
