2nd Shift Saw Operator

POSITION SUMMARY
The Saw Operator safely produces parts by programming, setting-up and operating a CNC horizontal or vertical saw in order to produce correct tubing for the machining department. The goal of the saw department is to strive for efficiency and accuracy to create superior end products for our customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Read prints
Select correct material and quantity for program
Load tubing on Saw
Program machine for correct length
Determine when back-cutting is necessary
Perform basic maintenance such as changing blade and refilling coolant
Tack weld parts together as needed
Operate deburring tool
Place finished parts in container with proper identification
Perform all dimensional inspections and document as required

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High school Diploma
Experience: Metal fabrication manufacturing environment with experience operating a CNC machine desired. Willing to train the right candidate.
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of a computer or cell phone is helpful.
