The department
Janus Henderson offers expertise across all major asset classes, with investment teams situated around the world. These dynamic teams are structured and operate in ways that are best suited to their asset classes and manage products designed to meet a range of investor needs globally. We do not impose top-down house views; instead we allow an appropriate level of flexibility within a controlled environment and encourage the sharing and debate of investment ideas. Our Investment teams are grouped under: Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Assets and Alternatives.
Overview of the role
The Front Office Business Analyst (BA) will partner with other teams internally and externally to act as an intermediary for the Investment teams. The BA will represent the front office on business projects and relevant corporate strategy implementation. This will include the inputting and prioritizing process and technical changes on behalf of Investment Management.
Duties and responsibilities
You will:
- Represent the Front Office on strategic projects and working groups, owning issues and delivering actions
- Support the prioritisation, assessment and delivery of IT Change, including managing small changes and projects
- Provide business support to the fund managers and dealers in Equities and Fixed Income teams globally
- Collaborate with other Janus Henderson departments and external vendors as a point of escalation and source of technical operational expertise
- Represent investment management on new product and fund launches to ensure all front office impacts are considered
- Be responsible for managing Investment Management Business Continuity
- Coordinate the implementation and development of new instruments and new markets
- Support the Investment Services department globally
- Carry out additional duties as assigned
Investment areas
Has responsibility for supporting the Investment Management department globally, across all asset types and portfolios.

Technical skills and qualifications
- Three years’ experience supporting Investments or similar Business Analyst experience
- Three years’ experience in the mutual fund/financial services industry preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- A good understanding of Charles River is preferable

Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed, in line with applicable regulatory requirements, by:
- Annual performance appraisal
- Completion of all assigned compliance training

At a minimum the role will require you to:
- Place the interest of Janus Henderson’s Clients first, act in accordance with TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) principles
- Understand and follow laws and regulations applicable for your role, seeking the help of your supervising manager or Compliance if additional guidance is required
- Understand and abide by all Janus Henderson policies applicable to your role, and seek support/guidance of the policy owner guidance when required
- You are ultimately accountable for your actions and responsible for seeking further information on any or all of the above as necessary
Compensation Information
The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
