Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Baltimore, MD
Work: Hybrid
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day management of the project, identify issues, and risks, and recommend possible issues and risk mitigation strategies associated with the project.
- Act as a facilitator between MSDE and IT Contractor.
- Identify critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, and acceptance criteria using MS project management and office tools.
- Provide solutions to improve efficiency (e.g., reduce costs while maintaining or improving performance levels).
- Monitor issues and provide resolutions for up-to-date status reports.
- Identify and assign TO Contractor resources needed to complete tasks and ensure that the appropriate personnel have the skills required to complete the tasks on time and within budget.
Position Requirements
Minimum Requirement
- 10 years of experience managing project life cycles, risk, resources, schedules, and oversight of Internet and intranet software operation and support projects.
- 5-8 years of experience managing Internet projects for government agencies in a multi-tier environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related discipline.
- Master’s degree or project management certification is preferred.
- Must possess current Project Management Institute (PMI) Certified Project Management Professional certification.
- Candidates chosen for an interview will meet the Education, General Experience, and Specialized Experience requirements.
