Job Description
6-9 years of IT work experience, including 4 or more years managing projects
• Experience working with high availability 24/7 environments and incident management
• Self-driven, independent, and accountable
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of curiosity and intense desire to succeed
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills across functions, lines of business, and infrastructure domains (Systems Engineering, Release Engineering, WWSRE, Release Operations & Platform team)
• Ability to understand business needs, articulate trade-offs, and discuss solutions with both business and Engineering teams
• Ability to bring structure to a very ambiguous environment
• Able to work independently or on a team, and in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Natural problem solver with a strong awareness of risk
• Ability to juggle multiple projects within a fast paced environment and change priorities rapidly as required by the business
• Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools, with a focus on infrastructure project delivery in support of infrastructure roadmaps
• Applies Agile project management processes and methodologies to indicate project status
• Demonstrated experience with infrastructure project management including consolidation, migration and refresh projects
• Experience in a few of the below technologies is a must and exposure to other technologies is a plus: • Docker
• Cloud and on-premise virtualization
• Mesos / Kubernetes
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and Subversion Description
• Bring structure to one’s own work and the work of others
• Manage a portfolio of projects across the release org and DevOps team
• Drive assigned projects and take ownership for their success – in terms of project delivery, quality, and business outcomes
• Develop accurate project timelines and resource estimates as part of the project planning process
• Provide outstanding project management support including monitoring and communication on the project progress, issues, risks, and results to stakeholders and team members
• Create and maintain project and system documentation, including development and testing procedures
• Build and maintain strong relationships beyond the development team to work effectively with technical and non-technical business partners
• Analyze and resolve production issues working independently or with the support of the development team
• Review and analyze requests from business users in order to prioritize work for the team and develop a clear roadmap.
• Extensive collaboration with IT infrastructure, network, and security organizations to track specific details of tactical work for the Marcom Interactive organization
• Works with IT and business teams that partner with release infrastructure to testing, installation, training and support
• Collaborate closely with our DevOps and IT teams in setting up and managing integration environments for various systems and components. Education
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
