Hours 2nd shift 4pm to 12:30an or as needed Responsibilities Receive and evaluate hogs as they arrive; sort off-quality hogs; count hogs. Ensure proper animal handling to comply with company policy and USDA regulations. Physically manipulate hogs using rattle paddle for moving into pens, tattoo chutes and onto scale for weighing. Have the ability to train on driving equipment (bobcat, skid steer). Complete and deliver necessary paperwork. Perform various other duties as needed or assigned. |
Required skills: · Work 40 hours per week in hog yards/barns. Environment is noisy, dusty, hot/cold temperatures, contains slippery floors. · Ability to visually assess weight and potential yield of hogs. · Good verbal and written communication skills. · Attention to detail · Must be able to physically maneuver among and manipulate live hogs. |
