Duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Test raw, in-process and finished product to ensure quality standards are met • Ability to perform data entry, experience with Microsoft Office i.e.: Word, Excel • Adherence to safety, health and environmental policies and procedures • Maintain good housekeeping to ensure laboratory cleanliness • Document results, analyze data, record keeping • Understanding preservation chain of custody a must • Knowledge of gas chromatography • Ability to multitask with attention to organization • Tracking and reporting of chemical and supply inventories • Generating certificates of analysis at the request of the Quality Assurance Manager • Communicate with production personnel and Quality Assurance Manager • Conduct retesting of product as needed to support quality investigations • Willingness to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members • Occasional overtime and weekend work as needed
Position requirements: • Work experience: The incumbent ideally should have 1 or more years’ experience working in a laboratory setting • Educational requirements: minimum of college level Chemistry courses preferred; B.S. in Chemistry, Biology or related science ideal • Quality work—strong ability to maintain quality work, precision and accuracy • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to reach common goals, self-motivated, adaptability and a positive attitude
The Ideal Candidate would possess: • Hands-on experience with analytical techniques • Ability to monitor and comply with SOPs and CGMPs • Understanding of FSMA and HACCP principles • Ability to learn new techniques and perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions and comply with company policies • Excellent communication (oral and written) with attention to detail • Flexible and adaptable, working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
