JOB SUMMARY
This individual's responsibilities include working closely with operations and accounting management in regards to accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, purchase orders, etc. They will ensure the plant is compliant with internal financial controls, procedures and standards as it pertains to the Sarbanes Oxley Act and ensure adherence to GAAP.
Pay range is $19.00 to $26.70 per hour based on experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Researching accounts for receivables, activity, payments, deductions, credits, write-offs. This includes maintaining all proper documentation is in order
Communicating with customers on payment and billing issues
Posting inventory consumption transactions, inventory adjustments and coordinating with operations to plan inventory counts
Audit purchase orders and transactions to ensure proper account and cost center assignments
Identify and prepare adjusting journal entries where necessary
Posting all deposits and credits daily
Backing up for other areas and departments as needed
Other duties as required by management and supervision

Associates Degree in accounting/finance; Bachelor's degree preferred; however, a combination of experience and education would be considered
One or more years clerical accounting experience
Experience in manufacturing environment preferred; Food Manufacturing environment a plus
Experience in Microsoft Excel and Word required
Must have experience with, and be able to, examine and verify financial documents and reports
Experience with SAP or comparable ERP system preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, methods and equipment
Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices
Ability to work in a fast paced, team-based environment
Ability to apply good judgment and professional integrity in decision making
Willing and able to visit the production floor while adhering to all required safety and GMP practices
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
