SUMMARY:
The Bookkeeper Full Charge will support the accounting operations of the JCC in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices. The position is responsible for recording transactions between multiple operational systems by importing them into our General Ledger system (MIP Abila). Reconciling balance sheet accounts monthly including bank reconciliations, program dashboards, preparing annual audited workpapers and assisting with answering questions from our audit. The Bookkeeper Full Time will also communicate directly with staff and members to answer questions and inquiries including registrations, statement balances and budgetary questions. This position must maintain a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reconciling bank and credit card statements.
- Prepare various monthly journal entries and adjusting entries.
- Import data from various CRM's and import to our General Ledger Accounting system.
- Build and maintain dashboards utilizing accounting software data.
- Responds to auditors' inquiries in regard to annual financial audit.
- Review balance sheet accounts monthly for discrepancies and reconcile differences.
- Provide backup to support Payroll/Accounts Payable Coordinator and Accounting Manager.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
- Attend all JCC meetings and programs as required.
- Participate in JCC large scale events as required.
- Assist with year-end audit and IRS reporting.
- Assist with additional audits as requested.
- Perform other duties as required or directed.
PHYSICAL SKILLS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms.The employee is occasionally required to stand.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
The work environment is usually fast paced. This job requires high energy and interaction with staff as well as with members, other agency staff, community leaders, and outside partners, vendors, others.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Salary Range: $40,000-$52,000

Minimum Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate (Preferred)
- Experience working as a Bookkeeper Full Charge - minimum of three years.
- Working knowledge of non-profit accounting is a plus.
- Competent General Ledger Debits and Credits Bookkeeper.
- Competent with Microsoft Office. Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and projects.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent organization and time management skills (through flexibility and ability to multi-task).
- Superior interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with staff, members, community partners, and lay leaders.
