What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Administrator position at JCM Engineering?

JCM Engineering is currently seeking an experienced, bi-lingual (English and Spanish) Human Resources Administrator to join our team. This position is a non-remote position and will require daily presence. Human Resources Administrator is responsible for managing daily operation of Human Resources services, policies, and procedures for the entire company. He/she is responsible for the smooth operation of all aspects of company’s human resources department. The Human Resources department is also expected to take a leadership role in developing a culture that enables employees to perform in accordance to the company’s objectives and mission. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organized, detail-oriented, passionate about HR and is committed to improving the employee experience with every interaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Employee Relations and Engagement
  • Serve as an advocate and counsel to hourly and exempt associates
  • Conduct internal investigations as needed
  • Ensure compliance with required regulations, policies, and laws related to Human Resources activities
  • Ensure the administration of audit activities for compliance within HR policies and procedures
  • Train management in promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment
  • Provide feedback and coaching to managers, actively listen and ask searching clarifying questions in regards to associates
  • Understand concepts related to compensation and benefits systems, processes, and employee communications
  • Enter and maintain data in Paychex Flex system
  • Administration of our performance management process
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

Required Education and Experience

  • BS/BA degree in Human Resources or related field or minimum of 2 years HR experience, required
  • 0-2 years of experience in HR with exposure to all major functional areas of HR, required
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases, required
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices, required
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish), with excellent written and verbal communication skills to support the translation of policies, employee communications, etc.
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of confidentiality for all employee records and information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
