JCW is partnered with a prestigious single-family office located in New York City seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience with a focus on high net worth tax and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
- Conduct thorough tax research and stay current with tax laws and regulations affecting high net worth individuals and partnerships.
- Assist in tax planning and strategy development to optimize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities.
- Collaborate with external advisors and service providers to ensure accurate and timely tax filings and payments.
- Support the family office team with various tax-related projects and initiatives.
- Maintain organized and detailed records of all tax-related documentation and communications.
- Assist in responding to tax notices and inquiries from tax authorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation or progress towards CPA is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or a family office setting, with a focus on high net worth individuals and partnerships.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with tax preparation software and financial management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
