Job Summary :
This is a driving position with admin and loading duties. Daily routes can be up to but not limited to 8 hours on the road.
Responsible for driving a van or box truck to deliver product.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Safely operate a van or box truck for product delivery.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and complete the DVIR log.
- Always adhere to road rules and DOT regulations.
- Protect money and assets following cash handling guidelines.
- Promptly address delivery or customer concerns with the Distribution Supervisor.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation are in order before departure.
- Effectively communicate with customers, including pre-delivery calls and post-delivery updates.
- Collaborate with the Distribution and Sales teams on order-related issues.
- Provide top-tier customer service during each delivery.
- Review orders with customers, ensuring product accuracy and handling any rejections.
- Record customer payment details accurately for each delivery.
- Follow safety standards and report any vehicle issues or accidents to the supervisor.
- Ensure all delivery manifests are signed and compliance is ma intained .
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Must have a positive and professional attitude, team player
- Must maintain a high level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency
- Ability to safely operate a delivery van in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
- Reliability to show up on time and as scheduled is a must .
- Aptitude to learn and use new technology
- Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship
- Must have valid driver's license with clean driving record, and valid insurance.
- Driver will be required to demonstrate proof of these documents on a regular basis
- Must enjoy driving
- A Livescan Background Check will be required
Education and Experience :
- Must be 21 years of age
- 1 year of professional driving experience - preferred
Physical Requirements :
Must have the ability to drive for up to 8 hours a day
