Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
AND
Experience: 1 years Cardiology technician experience preferred. Training in ECGs, training in Holter Monitors, Stress testing experience preferred. Graduate of Cardiology training program preferred.
Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements: BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
Under the direct supervision of the Manager Cardiology performs diagnostic Cardiology testing on patients of all ages and performs clerical work required for the completion of test reporting.
Essential Functions:
Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
Performs ECGs according to department policy for internal/external customers to ensure timely response to physician orders and the appropriate testing of patients.
Performs Stress Tests - Nuclear and non-Nuclear - according to department policy to ensure timely response to physician orders and the appropriate testing of patients.
Performs Holter and Monitor testing according to department policy to ensure timely response to physician orders and the appropriate testing of patients.
Reviews and summarizes Holter Monitor recordings to provide accurate data for physician interpretation of ECG tracings.
Edits and transmits medical/surgical unit ECGs to ensure accurate and timely results reporting.
Performs clerical typing functions to ensure timely results reporting.
Performs filing, equipment cleaning and stocking of supplies to ensure efficient department operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
This position is part time - 40 hrs/biweekly. Monday - Friday 9am - 1pm, occasional Saturdays.
