Jeff Wyler Columbus Auto Mall is looking for a Sales Manager to lead a team of Sales Consultants. A successful Sales Manager ensures customer retention and profitability of the dealership by hiring, training, and measuring the performance of sales consultants while establishing and monitoring customer-focused sales standards.
Essential Duties
Forecast goals and objectives for sales, gross, and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis.
Hire, train, coach, counsel, and monitor the performance of all sales consultants to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and business success.
Assist in directing and scheduling the activities of all department employees, ensuring proper staffing at all times.
Ensure that sales consultants understand and follow dealership policies and procedures.
Assist sales consultants in setting aggressive, yet realistic, monthly goals and objectives while providing them the support to meet these goals.
Conduct daily and weekly sales training meetings as directed by the GSM.
Provide proper product and training resources for sales consultants on a regular and continuous basis.
Assist sales consultants with closing deals when necessary.
Maintain teamwork in a customer-focused sales environment throughout sale, delivery, and follow-up process.
Use CRM to follow up with sales team on customer follow up daily
Back up the F&I department with signing, funding, closing, and all other F&I duties as needed
Ensure proper follow up of all potential buyers by developing, implementing, and monitoring a prospecting and sales control system daily using CRM system.
Provide text / email communication at closing with daily sales and traffic to GM and GSM.
Maximize the profitability of each sale by working with sales consultant to sell vehicle accessories and aftermarket services and ensuring proper introduction to F&I.
Maintain frequent updates of manufacturer incentives to ensure a thorough knowledge of current leasing, sales, and incentive programs.
Administer and monitor factory-sponsored programs.
Supervise delivery preparation of all sold vehicles, ensuring that purchased options have been properly installed and that all features are fully operational.
Recommend for dismissal any salesperson failing to meet dealership standards.
Establish and enforce standards for displaying, merchandising, and maintaining new and used vehicles.
Check the condition of all demonstrators on a monthly basis.
Establish procedures for quick disposal of over-age vehicles.
Contact new owners within 24 hours of delivery to ensure complete satisfaction with sales and delivery process. Address any concerns or complaints immediately.
Provide effective communication throughout the sales department as well as interdepartmentally.
Review inventory daily to ensure the proper mix of grounded stock for maximum turnover efficiency.
Make sure facility is secure, well lit, and professional in appearance.
Attend manager meetings as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned and adapt as needed.
Qualifications
Automotive dealership management experience (1-2 years minimum)
Shown success in auto retail sales
Confirmed leadership ability to mentor and train others
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Passionate about training sales team members and operating within a reciprocal environment
Enthusiastic personality with high-energy attitude
Ability to boost morale during the sales workday and improve profitability
Organization and follow-up skills
Experience and desire to work with technology
High School diploma or equivalent
Required
Valid California State Driver’s License and Sales License.
Driving record in good standing.
Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen.
