The Communications Advisor will be a key member of JELD-WEN’s Global Communications team and will acts as the relationship manager for designated global functions. They will be focused on creating and managing strategy, planning, execution, and measurement for multi-faceted, global communications plans for large-scale business initiatives and programs.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports executive communications in town halls, messages, and other channels.
- Leads planning and development of compelling content for internal communications channels to drive employee engagement. Manages one or more communication channels (i.e. newsletters, manager toolkits, etc).
- Partners with the communications team and contract contributors on content production and editing.
- Serves as a resource with respect to writing, style, and content structure. Reviews and edits submitted content for accuracy and AP style
- Responsible for embedding and maintaining the internal brand and style guide
- Establishes metrics to measure communications effectiveness, measures user experience, and makes recommendations for improvement
- Stays current with the latest trends in internal communication channels and digital media and makes recommendations for further development
- Educates and engages business stakeholders, project managers, and other internal colleagues for widespread understanding of communications strategy
Desired Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in communications within a corporate environment.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leveraging digital and traditional channels to create impactful multi-faceted communications plans that drive awareness and engagement for team members.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders and excellent executive presence.
- Experience in digital/intranet content management systems
- Ability to build relationships and work in a cross-functional team environment across a global enterprise
