Strategic Markets Development Manager
Work Location: Avon, OH / Hybrid
Job Summary:
The individual will execute on go-to-market strategies, business objectives and initiatives to achieve financial targets. This position manages a team of Sales associates that drive reseller recruitment and further vendor penetration.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Directly manages a team of Sales resources that drive reseller recruitment and further vendor penetration
  • Develops and build relationships with all levels at vendor to maximize the sales and profit growth of vendor product line.
  • Identify, develop and establish relationships with new resellers
  • Collaborates with Executive Management, Product Management, Sales and BD team to identify priorities
  • Develops and implements new strategies to gain market share and net new business.
  • Contributes to defining annual plans and multi-year strategies with clear objectives and long term vision in collaboration with key functional leaders
  • Develops recruiting and sales goals for team
  • Develops and implement new strategies to gain market share and net new business
  • Develops and implement plans to improve managing and tracking activity and ensure consistency across the team
  • Participates in applicable industry events.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop marketing plans and ensure marketing leads followed up upon in a timely manner.
  • Recruiting, hiring and leading top sales talent
  • Develop plans, organizes and assigns work, and evaluates the work of the team members
  • Trains, coaches, recognizes, awards and interacts with staff to achieve high individual and team performance and engagement levels.
  • Ensuring and enabling the highest levels of professionalism among team
  • Ability to lead complex, cross departmental projects
  • Monitors and manages employee time records and Paid Time Off (PTO) requests.

Education and Experience:
  • 4 year college degree or additional relevant experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience in a role with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals/monthly quota.
  • Extensive IT channel knowledge and experience with deep understanding of the industry’s competitive landscape
  • Product background knowledge of data networking, telephony, unified communications, cloud deployed services OR physical security a plus
  • Must be a highly motivated and possess a personal commitment to the success of the sales organization and goals
  • Executive management relationship building skills
  • Strong financial acumen
Travel Requirements:
Up to 25% travel is required for this position, overnight travel and stays may be expected.
Physical Requirements: (In compliance with ADA)
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds.
  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent of the time.
