What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Jenner's Pond?
Job Summary: Under the guidance of the Facilities Maintenance Manager this position is responsible for installation, trouble-shooting and repair of facilities and equipment throughout the Jenner’s Pond community. Responds to resident maintenance service requests as directed. Full time, Monday through Friday, day shift. Some on-call hours. Certifications preferred, but not required.
Qualifications
Required
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- PC Skills: Basic MS Outlook or other networked e-mail system
- Experience: 3 years in a general facility maintenance or construction position
- Licensing or Certification: Must possess a current license to operate a motor vehicle in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Other: Must possess good reading, writing and verbal communication skills. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Successful completion of a formal training program in the
maintenance or construction trades, an appropriate four year vocational
school program, a formal apprenticeship program, and/or an A.A.S. degree
in an appropriate field from an accredited institution.
- PC Skills: MS Excel; PC hardware knowledge
- Experience: 3 years maintenance work experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or retirement community setting.
- Licensing or Certification: Journeyman certificate in any appropriate trade
- Other: Telecommunications and/or LAN wiring experience
