Maintenance Technician

Leading manufacturer of drilling bits and carbide tooling products is seeking to fill Maintenance Tech position for its South Point, OH plant to perform inside/outside maintenance or peventive maintenance for building(s), grounds, machines & equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A MAINTENANCE TECH:

• Inside/outside routine maintenance or preventive maintenance for building(s), grounds, machines, and equipment.
• Setup and adjustments for production runs using shims and dies.
• Installation/repair of machines and equipment.
• Inside/outside minor/major emergency repairs as required.
• Calibration and repair actions for pneumatic and hydraulic systems, Inspection of belts, fluid levels, filters, bearings, seals, etc.
• Perform housekeeping actions adhering to post maintenance/repair procedures.
• Daily/monthly checklist(s) completion as required by ISO regulations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE OF A MAINTENANCE TECH:

• HS/GED/Vocational Certification Required.
• Two-to-Three (2-3) years demonstrated maintenance experience or combination of education and experience required.
• Valid driver’s license.

JOB REQUIREMENTS OF A MAINTENANCE TECH:

• Dependability to be consistently at work and on time with ability to worK 40 flexible schedule as required.
• Functional mathematical ability including knowledge of fractions and decimalswith ability to perform measurement computing using tape measure and/or micrometers.
• Proficient mechanical knowledge with ability to develop good fabricating and trouble-shooting skills including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read/comprehend written instruction, follow verbal directives, follow general and maintenance specific operating procedures.
• Team member mentality with good self-motivational ability to meet defined deadlines;
• Safety and quality assurance mindset with adherence to proper PPE requirements.
• Knowledge of strata control products, ISO 9001 system 1 OSHA regulations, is a plus.
• Close visual acuity, near/far vision, manual dexterity, fine manipulation verbal interaction skills, climbing capability, repetitive standing, walking, and/or bending capability, moderate/heavy lifting capability (up to 65 lbs.)
