Purchasing Assistant

The Purchasing Assistant is directly responsible for entering data into our ERP system and supporting the Purchasing team with various administrative tasks. This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager. This team member will be an integral part of the Purchasing team and will regularly collaborate with PAR employees within the Purchasing team. The primary goals for this role are to expedite orders and update ERP system with delivery dates. This role is for a full time employment opportunity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Enter a variety of data using current ERP system and Intranet applications.
• Coordinate with buyers and suppliers with providing updates on deliveries & issues.
• Update Jobscope with updated deliveries, updated notes, and confirm purchase orders.
• Update Jobscope with quote information, and current lead times, maintain records accordingly
• Advise supervisor of issues related to data
• Miscellaneous ad-hoc duties as assigned

• US Citizen or Green Card Holder
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year experience in administration
• Previous experience in Jobscope, &/or purchasing preferred
• Excellent typing skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Proficient in Excel and Word
• Ability to work independently
