Basic Qualifications

Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; moderate interpersonal relations and communication skills; moderate analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel; proficient manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; visual and auditory skills.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in related positions is preferred.


General Responsibilities

Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the deposit services and second day item processing functions; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests; assisting the immediate supervisor with administrative tasks to support department operations.

Essential Duties

1. Performs a variety of duties to support the deposit services and second day item processing functions of which the following are illustrative:

a. Research deposit account information; process inquiries from customer service personnel and other Company departments; process legal inquiries as assigned.

b. Provide support to internal and external customers who call the department.

c. Responsible for one or more of the following daily functions:

i. Handles various aspects of Bank deposit accounts, e.g., DDA, savings, certificates of deposit, IRAs, etc., verifies information and makes certain that accounts are properly established to ensure accurate record keeping.
ii. Scans documents relating to deposit accounts, consistent with established procedures.
iii. Balances and reconciles various deposit accounts, researches problems, and makes correcting entries.
iv. Performs remittance processing.
v. Provides assistance with ATM card processing.

d. Performs asset verifications, such as Estate asset verifications; researches and compiles information into letter form to provide balances and accrued interest customers has acquired at time of death.

e. Responsible for monitoring and ordering supplies for the department.

f. Assists Branch Offices and Client Services Support with customer questions and issues.

2. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.

3. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Companys compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g., Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Reg CC, Reg D, and Reg DD, etc.

4. Coordinates work with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments to insure the smooth and efficient flow of information.

5. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate Company personnel.

6. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her area, or to requests from customers, other Company personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.

7. Assists the immediate supervisor with various administrative tasks to support department operations, as directed; may also be assigned special projects.
