Referrals Specialist

Come grow with us! Jervey Eye Group is seeking an experienced, dependable, positive individual to work in our Referrals department. The successful candidate will be able to schedule referrals timely and efficiently, and keep patient satisfaction at the core of every decision and behavior.

Skills/ Qualifications:

• Receive, review, and process all new patient referrals within 48 hour
• Ability to schedule appointments for patients with appropriate provider and time location slot.
• Enter notes/special instructions for scheduling in electronic medical record.
• Communicate with referring offices and our physicians to schedule new patient appointments.
• Obtain any missing documents and follow referral guidelines as established by Jervey Eye Group.

• Ability to consistently follow and comply with rules established by administration.
• Ability to maintain a professional, stable demeanor in an office setting.
• Ability to be a careful listener who can enter and document information with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to analyze situations and respond appropriately.

Minimum Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

Minimum Experience Requirements

• Experienced preferred in a medical office setting.
• 1 year of medical referral experience required.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand, reach, bend and squat repeatedly during the day.
• Must be able to communicate via the telephone.
• Must be able to view and type computer data.

Schedule

Monday-Friday

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
