Essential Duties for a Fire Sprinkler Purchasing Agent:

  • Maintain accurate accounting of current inventory in the warehouse working closely with the Prefabrication manager.
  • Issue Purchase orders as required to meet the needs of the project Foreman. Be proactive and communicate with Project managers and Foreman to accurately order material on time. Ensure that the product reaches the site in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and review purchase order log working with the office manager and office administrator to ensure that invoices match purchase order amounts.
  • Correlate packing slips with invoices to help manage backorders.
  • Communicate with shop/warehouse to ensure that product is received and ready for delivery on time.

Requirements for a Fire Sprinkler Purchasing Agent:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in inventory control and purchasing and strong communication skills with people and clients.
  • An associate s degree in business administration is preferred.
  • Good understanding of fire sprinkler products and vendors.
  • Active driver s license within the state where work is conducted.
