Prepress Technician

Jet Mail Services is looking to expand our team with a Prepress Technician.

This is a technical prepress and production prepress position, not a design position. This is part of a team handling hundreds of highly variable projects a week.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· File Setup for Digital Printing.

· Complex Variable File Setup using XMPie and other software.

· Be able to handle multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.

· Produce PDF proofs and mock-ups as needed

· Automate General Functions when able

· Have the ability to analyze and solve issues.

· Ensure that quality standards are being met.

· Have ability to work under pressure of deadlines and delivery dates.

· Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.

· Work as part of a team and effectively communicate with all co-workers.

· Be able to work overtime as required.

· Ability to lift 25 lbs.

· All other duties as assigned by managers.

Requirements

· 8:30am-5:30pm with Overtime (early, late &/or some weekend hours required)

· Willing to work more hours to attain goals.

· Experience with Variable Data

· Attention to detail, accuracy and organization are a must.

· Technical Prepress knowledge such as File Troubleshooting, Preflighting etc.

· Thorough knowledge of Adobe CC, specifically InDesign

· Enfocus Product (Pitstop, Server &/or Switch) knowledge

· Variable data composition tools (XMPie uCreate & uProduce is a Plus)

· Printshop Mail, DesignMerge, FusionPro, SmartStream or other alike software experience is a Plus

· Konica Print Equipment knowledge is a Plus

Pay: Up to $47,500.00 per year
