Broadcast Production Technician



As a Broadcast Production Technician at Jewelry Television, you will have the unique opportunity of being a part of a live, 24/7, studio environment and will gain insight to the Live Show and gain better understanding of how each area plays a part in the overall vision of the programming. This is a role that requires a strong multi-tasker with good communication skills and a keen ability to react quickly in an ever-changing environment. The Production Technician must have solid technical skills and excellent dependability, as well as a willingness to adapt to the needs of the live show.


Day in the Life:

  • Execute live show content as determined by the producing team during pre-production in either the control room or in the live studio
  • Complete pre-production tasks for assigned show blocks
  • Run multiple pedestal HD Cameras in live studio environment or multiple remote PTZ cameras from control room
  • Run Harris Nexio file systems pulling up recorded items for live show presentations on air
  • Mix Audio for live on air presentation
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strong Visual eye
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to partner and work effectively with colleagues
  • Excellent understanding of all job assignments within the TV Production reporting structure
  • Lifting, pulling or pushing items over 25 lbs.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time


Nice to Have (but not required):

  • Bachelor degree in Television or Mass Communications
  • Live television Camera/Control room experience
  • Experience with Panasonic PTZ remote cameras and remote camera controllers
  • Experience with Ikegami/Hitachi HD Camera operations
  • Experience with Harris Nexio file systems
  • Experience with on air graphics programs
  • Experience with live music performances
