Supervisor QC Jireh Semiconductor Back Nights

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for directing the development and implementation of activities in the Inline QC area. Support QC Manager in the overall strategy for achieving manufacturing and quality goals and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Provide a safe and positive work environment for all Jireh employees to engage in.

Assign personnel and monitor flow of work ensuring production schedules are met within established quality and cost objectives.

Guide team members on manufacturing priorities and balance line needs to other departments within the entire factory process.

Incorporate priorities between quality, manufacturing, engineering, and equipment support staff.

Lead team members on consistent safety, quality, cost effective output, and process improvement activities.

Develop and motivate a dynamic work force through effective communications and positive role modeling.

Administer company policies that directly affect assigned reports.

Manage resources and operational activities providing team support and direction.

Drive continuous improvements in employee/team development, safety, quality, and cost control.

Be accountable to meeting planned metrics. Track output results compared to plan.

Assist QC Engineering/Management with investigations and improvements/changes to the inspection process.

Work with QC Engineering/Management to communicate changes to inspection processes and equipment issues across all shifts.

Understand Fab processes and Fab-related defects.

Work with Process and QC Engineering to make sure defective wafers are put on hold for the correct module owner.

When defective wafers are released by Process Engineering, make sure that the correct defect issue was addressed and the appropriate documentation has been provided in WorkStream to justify the release.

Make sure that all IQC employees are following the specifications and IDCNs for the area.

Provide feedback on inspection process and IDCNs to QC Engineer/Manager.

Work with Production supervisors to ensure proper off-shift coverage when employees are absent.

Schedule overtime to cover for absences when necessary.

Review and approve timecards.

Work with employees regarding conflict resolution as needed.

Escalate quality, production, equipment and personnel issues as needed.

Train new employees on inspection procedures.

Perform periodic inspection audits and administer competency testing to make sure employees recognize defects and are performing an adequate inspection.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility. Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

4-year degree preferred.

3-5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related field.

3-5 years of experience with quality control including microscopic inspection of wafers.

Proven leadership experience.

QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Solid analytical skills.

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Proficient at MS Office Applications

Ability to support 24-hour operation.

Ability to work well with others, and across organizations.

Self-motivated.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations including conflict resolution.
