Description
The Contracts Administrator is responsible for managing and facilitating the contract lifecycle process. Such duties include contract request intake, the creation of contracts and modifications utilizing approved templates, and facilitating the execution of agreements between our clients and consultants. Working closely with the Director of Operations, General Counsel, and our Principals and Project Managers, ensure timely and low-risk agreements are executed for all of JLG's projects. The Contracts Administrator will also assist with meeting contractual insurance obligations and assist with the accounts receivable process.

Reports to: Associate General Counsel
Responsibilities
- Prepare internally drafted contracts with client and consultants.
- Assist internal stakeholders to determine the appropriate type of agreement for their projects.
- Identify and provide recommendations for edits to comply with standards and areas of concern.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all contracts and related documents (including monitoring and reporting on agreement status).
- Liaise with JLG’s insurance broker to obtain and distribute Certificates of Insurance to clients and consultants as required.
- Support legal and the accounts receivable team in managing overdue and due payments in compliance with any contract terms.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree or certificate in business, business law, paralegal studies, or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn legal language and principles
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related
Preferred:
- Bachelors in Business Administration, Paralegal or Legal education
- Experience in AIA Contract Documents and Software preferred
- Previous experience within the Architecture / Engineering / Construction industry
- General understanding of commercial insurance programs, especially those typically maintained by professional design services companies
- Understanding of legal language and principles
