In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, sorting, and scanning incoming mail and/or packages to distribute to departments or individuals. You will collect and meter outgoing mail and packages and deliver them to the respective drop-off box or desk location within the building.

In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, sorting, and scanning incoming mail and/or packages to distribute to departments or individuals. You will collect and meter outgoing mail and packages and deliver them to the respective drop-off box or desk location within the building.
Here is some of what your day will look like:
Mail Organization
- Sort and collate mail promptly as some documents may be time-sensitive
- Sort mail, such as returned letters, adjustments, bills, orders, and payments, and dispose of junk mail
- Resolve issues with incorrect, returned mail, and record registered mail
- Receive outgoing mail and apply correct postage, potentially including personal mail
- Fold letters, circulars, or other documents and insert them into envelopes for distribution, and arrange for pickup of outgoing mail
- Open and scan contracts and upload them to the client’s electronic filing system.
- All regular mail must be picked up from stations periodically throughout the day. All items picked up before noon must be stamped and placed in the mail bin on the lower level to ensure that the mail is going out timely.
- Place mail in proper piles for distribution
- Process outgoing shipments (Fed-Ex, UPS, DHL, and USPS), and weigh mail to determine the correct postage
- Place mail in bins and deliver to individuals or in designated lockers
- Walk to the post office to drop off mail in all weather conditions
- Perform hospitality services and minor housekeeping items
- Ensure the office is adequately stocked with mail supplies, and stock copy rooms and printing devices
- Provide support for small office moves, and set up and tear down conference rooms
Required:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 years of customer service and office experience
- Basic computer skills, precisely word processing and database entry, and knowledge of fax and scanning machines
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and can be on your feet most of your day
- 1 years of previous mailroom experience and shipping/receiving
