Technical Services Regional Engineering Manager
What this job involves:
Supporting a large JLL team across the Americas in the delivery, improvement, and expansion of engineering and building operations. Our client is growing fast, and our job is to scale up our team, processes and solutions to meet their needs.
Priorities:
Development and implementation of initiatives to support our clients Strategic Programs, Building Operating Systems program, and Sustainability goals
Develop expertise with the client Facilities Infrastructure Standards and drive the application of these standards
Provide Professional Engineering subject matter expertise in operations, maintenance, repair, familiarity with design and ability to interpret design drawings, for Mechanical facilities disciplines. Similar expertise in Electrical and/or Plumbing disciplines is a plus.
Develop working knowledge of client Building Operating System smart/secure building IoT network program for application in projects and facilities of all types
Align with JLL Engineering Services Team to drive and support:
2030 Carbon Reduction goals and ongoing Sustainability goals
Designing and implementing initiatives to make our engineering practice more programmatic
Standardization and consistency for Technical methods, procedures, and best practices across the account
JLL Client Assurance Program (Operational Compliance) leadership
Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) standardization and quality control
Providing the account with engineering subject matter expertise
Engineering and maintenance staff, sourcing, selection, mentoring and career development
Maintenance Management
Develop and institute leading edge and consistent maintenance management practices across the facility portfolio
Oversee the reporting of maintenance management Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Implement a repeatable operational review process utilizing quality control audits and inspections to Identify opportunities for improvement and risks to our client.
Provide or source technical support for Facility Managers and their engineering staff.
Administer inspections, maintenance, upgrade and replacement plans for assets managed by JLL.
Develop or deploy training and awareness programs based on technical and account-specific needs gathered through skills and operations assessments.
Develop a scalable, repeatable, trainable process for implementation of engineering and building operations services and standards.
Assist Strategic Sourcing in bidding, negotiations, and administration of regional or national contracts for technical products or services.
Partner with JLL Technical Services/Engineering Services, outside contractors, consultants or internal networking for technical support and problem resolution through a root cause analysis process.
Focus on cost savings and increase in reliability. Research and implement innovative cost reduction programs.
Develop and support capital improvement and asset replacement plans for client review and approval.
Energy and Sustainability Management
Support the client's monthly energy data gathering, analysis, goals and metrics.
Leverage energy efficiency guidelines, energy audits, occupant awareness and internal/external bench marking to improve our client's consumption profile.
Provide operational feedback and support of client sustainability projects.
Environmental Health and Safety
Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental aspects of the JLL Client Assurance Program, including safety training, OSHA compliance, SDS tracking, and vendor pre-qualification.
Administer compliance with and reporting of applicable environmental health and safety programs.
Support and promote the collection and reporting of near miss and good catch information.
Ensure that accidents, injuries and other major health, safety and environmental events are captured and data is managed and reported through JLL's platform.
Participate with sites, as needed, to perform investigations and root cause analysis on health, safety and environmental events. Track and report corrective action and communicate lessons learned.

Professional Engineer License Required
Minimum of Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering with a Professional Engineering license. Mechanical Engineering preferred but will consider Facilities (Plant) engineering or Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, and building management systems at commercial/critical facilities.
Experienced in supervision / support of multi-building operations.
Very well organised, with a collaborative management style.
Up to date with innovative industry building operating practices and technical service offerings.
A great oral and written communicator with a diverse team composed of vendors, FM professionals, engineers and client stakeholders.
Delivering technical awareness training to all levels of the organisation.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Finance management skills and experience.
Strong analytical, organisational and presentation skills.
This is a hybrid role (approximately 60% remote and 40% onsite work) and ability to travel (up to 20%) is required.
