What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitorial/Housekeeping position at JM Eagle?
SUMMARY Perform general housekeeping tasks and assists Safety/THM Coordinator with THM projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping of floors
- Dusting of offices, Conference room, and common areas.
- Emptying of trash cans in offices, breakrooms, and restrooms
- Cleaning all facility restrooms
- Cleaning breakrooms, locker areas and hallways
- Refill soap and paper towel dispensers
- Refill Sanitizers
- Window and glass cleaning
- Assist in setup, tear down and cleanup of employee & visitor events.
- Keeping entrances, parking lot and company property picked up and clear of debris.
- Deicing and clearing off snow from entrance ways and sidewalks SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Employee works within JM Eagle guidelines and policies.Employee follows guidelines and directives of supervisor. - Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling pushing and pulling capabilities to handle job requirements.
- Balancing to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching in all areas due to limited direct supervision and/or observation.
- Ability to verbally communicate either face to face or via telephone with other employees to accomplish all assigned job requirements.
- Hear clearly and understand verbal communication whether it is face to face or via telephone.
- Climb and descend all ladders or steps (whether fixed or portable) on company facilities in order to access all areas if needed.
- See and understand written communication.
- Ability to use caution when lifting or handling objects or equipment to remain within the recommended weight limit of fifty (50) pounds, and get assistance if material is over fifty (50) pounds.
- Walking through, under and around equipment with a clearance of thirty (30) inches.
- Ability to feel objects, textures, size, and shapes and determine temperature by touching of skin, primarily that of finger tips.
- Ability to grasp tools and use them in a safe manner working manner to avoid injury to self or fellow employees.
