Rental Operations Manager (Baton Rouge, LA)

The Rental Operations Manager plays a vital role in providing guidance and setting standards for the rental business units throughout the company.  The Rental Operations Manager is responsible for managing daily operations and takes responsibility for all aspects of the business units under their leadership. Provides oversight and management of workload to ensure work is completed on time and to the customer’s satisfaction. Familiar with regulatory requirements specific to the company and ensures all employees are in compliance with those standards (Quality, Safety, ISO 17025).   He or she formulates goals with respect to the education, training and skills of personnel.  He or she helps identify training needs and ensures users have been trained on the correct use of the calibration equipment, in addition to mentoring and disciplining users for not following safety policies/procedures that have been established for JMTS. Provides effective solutions to customer’s needs and requirements, effectively communicates with customers and develops client relationships through excellent customer service. 

Immediate Supervisors:  Director of Business Development

Workers Supervised:  Administrative, Rental, and Technical staff.

Interrelationships: Works with Executives, Quality Manager, Technical Manager, Metrology Engineers, Managers, Technicians, Financial Controller, Quality Assurance, Accounts Receivable, Logistics, Purchasing, Sales, Marketing and Rental teams.  

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  High School diploma or equivalent.  Bachelor's Degree, Associates degree, or military training in measurement science, calibration or related field (i.e., electronics, temperature, physical/dimensional) is preferred.

Training and Experience Required:  Experience in Sales Management role for 5-7 years; experience with enterprise software solutions in a large, complex organization; experience in all aspects of supplier relationship management. General computer skills.

Knowledge Required: Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements. Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams.

Abilities and Skills Required:  Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.  Ability to operate in a fast-paced and changing market environment. Ability to prioritize tasks to make sure that multiple deadlines are met. Needed capabilities include:
