Job Title: Research and Engineering Program Analyst Technical Support
Location: Washington, DC, National Capital Region
Clearance: TOP SECRET security clearances and ability to obtain and maintain SCI. Candidates with a DCID 6/4 eligibility within the last five (5) years are highly preferred.

Position Summary:
Individuals working in this exciting position provide technical, analytical and specialized support to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OASD(R&E)) and the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research (ODASD(R)). Daily operations would include coordination with multiple government agencies, developing partnerships with foreign governments all for the purpose of effectively and successfully pursuing new science and technology solutions.
Performance in this position involves programmatic assistance in managing EW&C Office programs and technical assessments of technologies of interest to EW&C. Primary focus being the fulfillment of EW&C intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) requirements. Candidates seeking this position must have a proven track record of successfully resolving ambiguous and challenging tasks typically found in senior-level Federal Government scientific research and engineering offices
Primary Duties:
- Conduct technology intelligence research on topics or on countries of interest.
- Analysis of technology and community trends to identify scientific communities and researchers of interest, along with forecasting topics and trends.
- Research and assess intelligence information on behavior and actions of state and non-state actors, with the goal of mapping, understanding, predicting, and modifying future behaviors, along with developing campaign strategies.
- Providing analysis for EW&C intelligence awareness products, new EW technologies and other advanced technology announcements.
- Analyze ISR technology trends for identification of scientific communities and researchers of interest and forecasting of topics and trends.
- Map emerging EW innovative technologies to meet DOD requirements
- Oversee and manage scientific, technical and intelligence-related exchanges with international defense partners
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 20 years technical experience with at least 10 years’ experience at the Headquarters level in DoD or other governmental agency.
- Proficient in technical research and possessing an in-depth knowledge of electronic warfare and countermeasures
- Experience with related technology disciplines such as radiofrequency, optical sensors, communications, cyber, directed energy, autonomy, modeling and simulation and decision support analytics or visualization tools.
- Intimate knowledge of interagency intelligence processes and products (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills for daily interactions, briefings, and meeting moderation
- Proven record of the ability to work independently in a complex, distributed environment
Education:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university – Required
- Master's degree in physical science, electronic engineering, cyber, mathematics, or other science and technology related areas – Preferred
- Specialized experience may be substituted for specific educational requirements.
