As the Accounts Payable Lead with Premium Parking, the ideal candidate will be part of a goal-driven finance team and will be responsible for the daily operations of accounts payable, customer refunds, expense processing, and assisting with month end closing.
Core Functions
- Lead A/P processes and develop appropriate workflows
- Work with management and other departments to continually improve processes
- Input vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other business records to facilitate prompt payments
- Assist in managing orders pending approval, open orders, and unbilled items in purchase order system
- Accrual of unbilled items at month end
- Develop reports, review reports for accuracy, and distribute to management
- Compile and sort invoices and checks
- Issue checks for accounts payable and prepare for mailing
- Assist Controller with reconciling accounts for monthly closings
- Create and maintain accounting policies and procedures and assist with training other associates on accounting practices
- Recommend and implement processing efficiency
Requirements
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central/NAV
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of accounting/payables experience
- Working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to a broad range of audience including executive level managers and customers
- Organized team player with proactive and positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
