Job Summary: Responsible for daily cash application, searching for remittance details, analyzing differences, and reconciling bank deposits as assigned. Keeps records and accounts accurate and current. Researches and resolves discrepancies and accounting errors. Completes related reports, summaries, and records. Creates monthly expense report transactions. Performs related clerical duties. Job Description: Retrieves daily bank activity and records daily transactions to A/R sub-ledger Performs remittance research and records adjustment transactions Complete bank deposit reconciliations as assigned Records intercompany transactions for deposits as needed Complete journal entries and tasks related to the month end closing process, as assigned Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems Reports the status of posting and reconciliations to the VP-Accounting and other team members Degree in accounting or equivalent work experience Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and procedures including account reconciliation Knowledge of related computer applications One to two years of previous accounting/banking experience preferred Knowledge of related computer applications, with Intermediate Excel skills preferred Well organized and detail oriented Good math skills Good attention to detail and accuracy Cooperative and willing to assist others Able to use PC, calculator, and other basic business machines EEO Statement Jackson Healthcare is an EEO/AA Employer.
