What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Site Superintendent position at JNS Homes?
JNS Homes is currently looking for a residential construction superintendent in Palm Coast area. The ideal candidate will manage the construction of multiple homes, supervise vendors/contractors’ work performance, schedule inspections, conduct homeowner walk-throughs in addition to maintaining company and safety standards. A Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years relevant experience is required.
Responsibilities:
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Plan & direct all job site related construction activities
- Schedule vendors/contractors as required
- Order construction material when needed
- Complete each home site within the allotted construction timeline
- Schedule inspections when required
- Observe OSHA guidelines and maintain a safe/clean jobsite
- Conduct home owner orientation upon completion of each property
- Hold contractors accountable for jobsite cleanliness and performance
- Ability to work additional hours when necessary
- Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
- Allocate resources for assigned projects
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
- Resolve day-to-day problems on the job site
- Inspect all work during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Interface with project inspectors and contractors.
- Order all materials required to construct houses.
- Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction management or other related fields
- Familiarity with construction management software Builder Trend or BuildTopia a Plus
- Minimum of 3 years experience in field supervision, QC, ordering, and production of all phases of residential construction
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Supplemental Pay:
- Bonus pay
